Department of Computer Science was established in 1994. The CS Department offers 5 courses namely B.Sc., B.C.A., B.Sc. IT, M.Sc. and M.Phil Computer Science, which has highest student strength. It has highly qualified faculty and has excellent hardware and software resources.
The road to success is clearly laid in our department, by which the passed out students are received with laurels and glory by the world before them. State of the art Computer center with brand new Intel Core2Quad processors with large screen monitors add to the cluster of computers, which counts to 430 in 7 labs. Requisite protocols are installed to connect four various servers in a ring topology to cater the needs of our department as well as other department computer lab sessions. To enrich the knowledge of the students and staff, a knowledge center has been running successfully. This made the art of computing in an easy task and our students had bagged University Ranks.
Objectives
- To graduate students qualified to meet the challenges of the fast growing field of computer science
- Provide a deep understanding of both fundamentals and important current issues in computer science so that they may either obtain professional careers or advanced studies in computer science
- Provide computing with high level of programming skills for teaching and learning of computer science and related professional values
- Cultivate personal and professional growth for all students, faculty and staff
- Through research the Department strives to generate new knowledge and technology for the benefit of everyone
